There's no doubt it has been an interesting time for windsurfing in general as a number of disciplines and former sail boarders make a welcome return to the sport.

It's hard to tell if the GPS Speed Sailing scene is solely responsible for a return to all things speed related but there is no denying the huge interest that has been generated in slalom, race and speed sailing. Old speed needle and 1990's slalom boards have been dug out from sheds, had the cobwebs and dust blown off them and made a return to the water all in the search for speed. The rising interest in speed and slalom type boards has not gone unnoticed by the big manufacturers who have risen to the challenge and produced a new range of cutting edge designs. This year is also the year for  twin fins to be  reborn, as we start to see them we will keep you up to date with all the news.
